Rachelle Nitikman,
retired Supreme Court Judge -
7:00- 9:00pm, March 13, 2012, 'The Barn' Stowell Lake Farm
“I am a relatively recent addition to the permanent population on Salt Spring Island. After mandatory retirement from the judiciary of the BC Supreme Court, I moved here from Vancouver in April, 2008, just 5 months after my marriage to Cliff Jones. I have have 4 children from a previous marriage and 3 grandchildren. Needless to say, all of these offspring are brilliant and multi talented. I love the dearly.
I've met many interesting people on the island mostly through the volunteer work I became involved in shortly after moving here including the library, Art Spring, a choir, the painter's guild, bridge, golf, tennis, working out at the gym and inviting new friends to dinner.
I miss many things about big city life but I do enjoy the island for it's laid back pace. I confess, however, that life feels very busy here, much busier than I imagined retirement would be.”
